How Scansor works with PRTG

Scansor is based on preconfigured SAP sensors that continuously capture queries in SAP tables, databases, or third-party systems – from work processes and dumps to security parameters and cloud services like SAP Cloud ALM. The information is visualized in dashboards.
When a defined threshold is exceeded, a real-time notification is sent via email, SMS, push notification, or directly into a ticketing tool or ITSM systems such as ServiceNow or Jira.

Diverse use cases

Scansor monitors, among other things:

• SAP Basis: Syslog, jobs, work processes, dumps

• RFC connections, IDocs, and PI messages

• Security: SAP IdM, authorizations, and debugging access

• Databases: SAP HANA, MaxDB, or ASE

• SAP Cloud ALM and connected cloud services like SuccessFactors

• SAP ICF Services Monitor: to check web services whether certain services are active or inactive, with the goal of disabling old services to improve system security. Includes a template to identify insecure services based on SAP recommendations (e.g., Security Notes).

Thanks to open interfaces, Scansor can be seamlessly integrated into existing workflows. Alerts are automatically forwarded to the responsible team and trigger immediate countermeasures.
